The Ghost Detective is a mystery-thriller starring Daniel Choi as a ghost-hunting detective, and Park Eun Bin as his cheerful, and persistent assistant. Together, they try to unravel the truth behind the bizarre death of Jung Yeo-wool‘s (Park Eun Bin) younger sibling. To make things even more complicated and creepy, there’s a mysterious lady in red who appears at every crime scene. 

 

2. Hand: The Guest

Hand: The Guest is perfect for crime drama fans who love a spooky twist. This supernatural crime drama is about a psychic, an exorcist priest, and a detective who doesn’t believe in evil spirits. They must use their diverse skills together as a team to solve paranormal crimes.

 

3. Witch’s Love

Fans of paranormal rom-coms will fall under this new K-Drama’s spell. It’s about three generations of witches who have been hiding in plain sight in Seoul, right under everyone’s noses. They try to keep a low profile, but things get complicated when two men start poking around their restaurant. One is a handsome neighbourhood guy (Lee Hongbin), who is constantly trying to get close to one of the witches, (Yoon So Hee). The other is the building’s landlord (Hyun Woo), who wants to face a traumatic incident that happened to him there as a child. Will these witches be able to keep their magic secret? You’ll have to watch it to find out!

 

4. Oh My Ghostess

Oh My Ghostess has been a fan favourite ever since its 2015 release. It’s about a spunky ghost named Shin Soon Ae (Kim Seul Gi) who complicates the life of star chef Kang Sun Woo (Jo Jung Suk) when she starts possessing the body of his shy employee, Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young). The ghost, who believes she must lose her virginity to avoid transitioning into an evil spirit, picks Kang Sun Woo to be “the one”, and shenanigans ensue.

 

5. Scholar Who Walks the Night

If you’re in the mood for period costumes and good-looking vampires, check out this historical K-Drama. It’s about Kim Sung Yeol (Lee Joon Gi), a vampire scholar who becomes involved in a plot to take down the evil vampire Gwi (Lee Soo Hyuk), and Jo Yang Sun (Lee Yoo Bi), the daughter of a nobleman, who loses everything when her father is framed for a crime. The two cross paths when Jo Yang Sun is crossdressing as a man, in order to work as a bookseller.

 

6. Master’s Sun

Master’s Sun is a romantic comedy with a spooky twist that is perfect for fans of Oh My Ghostess. Following an accident, Tae Gong Shil (Gong Hyo Jin) develops the ability to see ghosts, and becomes haunted by them constantly. She discovers that touching her snooty boss, Joo Joong Won (So Ji Sub), makes the ghosts disappear temporarily. The problem is, these two have totally different personalities that just don’t mix well…at first.

 

7. Blood

In this vampire medical drama, Dr. Park Ji Sang (Ahn Jae Hyun) struggles to keep his bloodlust under control at work. This talented doctor believes in the sanctity of human life so much that he suppresses his vampiric instincts to save lives. What makes this show even better is the fact that its leads, Ahn Jae Hyun and Ku Hye Sun, got married after meeting on set!

 

8. Goblin: The Great And Lonely God

If vampires and ghosts aren’t your thing, this supernatural show may be for you. This fantasy romance is about a modern-day goblin (Gong Yoo) who seeks to end his cursed immortal life by wedding a human bride (Kim Go Eun). In addition to a goblin, this show stars a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) who is unable to remember his past.
