These Are All 10 Currently Active Male K-Pop Idols That Came From Japan

There are currently 16 active female K-Pop idols from Japan, and 10 male idols! While it’s still not extremely common to have non-Korean idols in K-Pop groups, there are more of them these days than there have been in the past, and it’s great to see such diversity. Four of the idols on this list are members of TREASURE that have yet to debut, but since they’ve already been posting content with the members, they’ve been included despite not technically having debuted yet. Here are the 10 currently active male K-Pop idols from Japan.

1. Haruto (TREASURE)

Born on April 5, 2004, Haruto is the rapper and visual of TREASURE. His mom is a big BIGBANG fan, and they have a lot of fan merchandise at home! He’s confident in his nice visuals, and hopes to be an awesome rapper someday. He was also the first member of TREASURE to be revealed.

2. Yuku (DKB)

Born on May 12, 2002, Yuku is the dancer and vocalist of DKB, and is also listed as the “DJ” as well. His childhood dream was to be a stage personality, and he is the first Japanese idol to debut under Brave Entertainment. His hobbies include watching cartoons, exercising, and dancing.

3. Asahi (TREASURE)

Born on August 20, 2001, Asahi is a vocalist of TREASURE. He taught himself how to self-compose when he was in middle school, and his hobbies include composing, playing soccer, and drawing.

4. Mashiho (TREASURE)

Born on March 25, 2001, Mashiho is the dancer, vocalist, and visual of TREASURE. He trained for 5 years to be an idol, and wants to become a singer that helps people have fun. His hobbies include drumming, playing golf, and photography.

5. Yoshinori (TREASURE)

Born on May 15, 2000, Yoshinori is the rapper and dancer of TREASURE. He knows how to beat box, and likes to write songs and compose beats. His other hobbies include skateboarding and watching anime.

6. U (ONF)

Born on March 16, 1999, U is the main dancer, lead rapper, sub vocalist, and maknae of ONF. He was in a dance crew back in Japan, and is friends with both TWICE‘s Sana and PENTAGON‘s Yuto since they’re also from Japan and they trained together under JYP Entertainment (he’s a former JYP Entertainment trainee). He was a trainee for 1 year, and his hobbies include riding his bike and listening to music.

7. Yuto (PENTAGON)

Born on January 23, 1998, Yuto is the lead rapper, lead dancer, and sub-vocalist of PENTAGON. He’s a former JYP Entertainment trainee, like U. He’s very sporty, having played baseball for 6 years and soccer for 2, and also enjoys anime. If he wasn’t an idol, he’d want to be an astronaut!

8. Yuta (NCT)

Born on October 26, 1995, Yuta is the dancer, vocalist, and rapper of NCT. His favorite musician is One Ok Rock, and the song that made him want to become an idol is “Something” by TVXQ, but his biggest inspiration is his dad. His hobbies include playing soccer, hanging out with friends, reading comics, and working out.

9. Kenta (JBJ95, formerly JBJ)

Born on January 10, 1995, Kenta is the main vocalist, main dancer, and face of JBJ95. He trained for a year and 3 months before going on Produce 101, and was ranked at #24 on the show after being eliminated on episode 10. He’s a fan of Highlight and TEEN TOP‘s Ricky, and is friends with both Ricky and ONEUS‘s Ravn. He loves cats and using face masks.

10. Taewoong (SNUPER)

Born on May 24, 1994, Taewoong is the leader, rapper, and vocalist of SNUPER. He starred in several dramas before debuting as an idol, such as Fantastic Tower, Jung Yak Yong, and Tamra, the Island. His hobbies are watching dramas and movies, and writing raps.
