5 Idols Who Pulled Off The Bleached Bangs Look This Year Like No One Else Could

This isn’t an easy look to pull off, but they look stunning.

Not everyone can pull off bleached hair, but it’s even more difficult to make bleached bangs work while the rest of your hair is a different color. On the wrong person, bleached bangs can look like a dye job gone wrong. These 5 gorgeous idols, however, looked good enough to start a new hair trend.

1. Jennie (BLACKPINK)

Jennie’s new hair has been catching everyone’s eye in the teasers for BLACKPINK’s upcoming single, “How You Like That”.

The contrast between her bangs (which have been bleached to the lightest shade of platinum) and the rest of her hair (which is still jet-black with long extensions) may seem jarring at first, but it’s impossible to take your eyes off her.

2. Chaeyoung (TWICE)

TWICE’s new song “More & More” saw several members sport new hair looks, from Jihyo’s pink to Sana’s orange. Chaeyoung’s, however, was the most unusual.

Chaeyoung used her bleached bangs as a base to add color—like this blue, which really brought out her eyes.

3. Hyungwon (MONSTA X)

For their recent release, FANTASIA X, MONSTA X went with a luxurious and ethereal black and gold theme. Hyungwon took it to the extreme by bleaching his hair to match.

He left the bulk of his hair jet black, but bleached his bangs a golden blonde color, creating a seamless look that fit the group’s latest concept perfectly.

4. Jiwoo (KARD)

KARD came back this February with a sultry, edgy look, so it was only fitting that Jiwoo debuted an attractive yet unusual hairstyle to match.

Like Jennie, Jiwoo went with platinum blonde bleached bangs. Every hairstyle she sported gave a new dimension to her look, from tousled waves to braids woven with red.

5. Jamie Park

Unlike the other stars on this list, who blended bleached bangs with dark hair, Jamie Park (also known as Park Jimin) went with a colorful transformation.

These airy blonde bangs brought a soft and refreshing edge to her lilac bob, creating a look that’s almost fairylike.
