1. Baekhyun’s “rude” behavior

Baekhyun once got criticized when he was captured accepting his ticket from an airport employee using his mouth, which many netizens viewed as rude.

However, many fans came to Baekhyun’s defense and stated that he probably did this because his hands were full holding onto luggage.

2. Claiming Kai faked an injury

Kai once appeared at an airport in a wheelchair due to him injuring his ankle. Many netizens criticized him for this, as they believed he was faking his injury.

However, this was proven false, as Kai later had to sit out of EXO’s activities due to his ankle.

3. Chen for getting married

When Chen announced his marriage in 2020, some Korean “fans” and netizens weren’t happy about it. They criticized Chen for this decision, and even tried to get him kicked of EXO.

None of this ended up working, as SM Entertainment released a statement on how Chen would be staying in the group.

4. Mocking several of the members’ visuals

Chen, Baekhyun, and Kai once got mocked by a few netizens when they claimed that these three were the “ugliest” in the group.

Fans and netizens were quick to defend the members, where they stated that insulting EXO for their visuals is just ridiculous.

5. Falsely claiming that Lay left the group

Netizens once grew furious at Lay when it was announced that he would not be participating in EXO’s Japanese tour, “EXO PLANET # 2 – The EXO’luXion – in JAPAN”. Many Korean netizens criticized Lay for this and claimed that he would be leaving the group.

However, this wasn’t the case, as Lay is still a member of EXO and has shared numerous heartwarming stories about his bond with the other members.
