The most exciting thing for a K-Pop fan is when their faves announce that they’re having a comeback! The teaser photos, videos, and other small details build so much anticipation and excitement, and it leaves fans guessing for days about what the concept would be, what sort of music they would get, etc. Well, some teasers manage to lead fans on so well that when the final MV drops, fans find out that the teasers were something, but the finished product was something else entirely! Here are 7 comeback teasers that fans deem very misleading, and were the biggest catfish moments for them!

1. BDZ- TWICE

“BDZ” is a Japanese single by TWICE, and when the teaser photos initially dropped for the song, fans were hyped by the girl crush and edgy concept! But when the actual song dropped, they found it to be a light song, different from the feel of the teasers!

2. “Call Me Baby”- EXO

When EXO announced their comeback in 2015, they released teasers for each member with aesthetic sceneries and dark undertones. Each place the teasers were filmed in spelled out “Call Me Baby”, but at the times fans were under the impression that they would get a very different concept from what finally came about to be the upbeat concept of “Call Me Baby”!

3. “We Like”- Pristin

Before Pristin‘s “We Like” dropped, the teasers were off a dark, edgy vibe that fans believed spoke of a girl crush concept, and they were here for it. But when “We Like” was finally released, the concept was lighter and bubblier, and wasn’t girl crush at all!

4. “You Think”- Girls’ Generation

When Girls’ Generation‘s “You Think” MV teaser was released, fans were super hyped by the cool, chill instrumentals with the sick beat! But when the MV dropped, the song turned out to be completely different from the teaser! While SONEs loved the song, to this day, they’re still hoping that SM Entertainment will officially release the tune as an actual song one day!

5. “Wannabe”/”Nobody Like You”- ITZY

When the teasers for ITZY‘s  “Wannabe” first dropped, fans were hyped by the instrumentals and great music in the video! But when “Wannabe” and the album were released, fans were surprised to find out that the song used for the teasers was actually “Nobody Like You’ from their album, and not the actual title track!

6. “Welcome”/ “Secret Story Of The Swan”- IZ*ONE

Similar to ITZY, a different song was highlighted in IZ*ONE‘s comeback teaser for “Secret Story Of The Swan”! “Welcome”, which is a softer, lighter song, was the expectation of many…until the hard-hitting banger that is “Secret Story Of The Swan” finally dropped, and had WIZ*ONEs shook!

7. “So What”- LOONA

The music used in the third teaser for LOONA‘s  “So What” was actually the first track from their album, titled “#”! Fans were expecting the title track to sound way different from what “So What” turned out to be, but are nevertheless in love with the song!
