6 New BTS Jungkook Facts That Showcase His True Personality

#7 We love him.

BTS recently retook the MBTI test to learn more about themselves and each other. Here are 6 fun facts we learned about Jungkook that give insight into his personality.

Jungkook

1. Sharing food can make him jealous.

The Golden Maknae loves to dine with friends, but if they break his ground rules — look out! In MBTI Lab 2, BTS weighed in on the famous “Perilla Leaf Debate” and the “Shrimp Debate.” While some members would be okay with their significant other peeling off perilla leaves for a friend (and vice versa), Jungkook was not.

They peel off one perilla leaf, next thing you know, they’re holding hands and fall in love! And they end up getting married!

He felt the same way about peeling shrimp!

2. He prefers to face conflict with friends head-on.

BTS’s members took two different approaches to dealing with an angry friend.

BTS

My friend seems angry at me these days. What would I do? A: Organize my thoughts whether it takes a week or a month. Think about why they’re angry first. B: Ask right away what the problem is; ‘Hey, are you mad about something I did?’

— RM

Jungkook was firmly on Team A. “You can just be careful with how you ask,” he said. “I think I’d keep consoling them, so they can tell me what’s wrong.”

3. He prefers kindness to practicality

Question: “I got into a car accident. The first thing my friend says on the phone is, ‘Do you have insurance?’ [A. Upsetting B. Not upsetting]” Jungkook was the only member who chose A.

He believes that checking in on someone’s well-being should come first.

You should ask if they’re okay first. Imagine you’re in the hospital bed, and they call you and go ‘Do you have insurance?’ versus ‘Are you okay?’

Plus, as he pointed out, his insurance status is his business, not his friend’s.

4. He needs someone else to plan his trips for him.

Some people are planners, some are not. When BTS chose their roles for going on a trip, Jungkook classified himself as a “freerider.” He wouldn’t like to be put in charge of the trip.

I can never do it. I need someone else. I need someone to bring me with them.

— Jungkook

5. He prefers polite honesty over a well-meaning lie.

If he cooked a dish for a friend that didn’t end up tasting good, he would want them to tell him instead of trying to protect his feelings by pretending otherwise.

I’d be more uncomfortable with [Option A]. I know my dish tasted bad. It would be weird if they kept eating it. It’s better because they’re honest and say thank you in the end.

— Jungkook

6. He is one very tidy bunny.

The majority of BTS’s members clean their room whenever they feel like it (B), but Jungkook prefers to clean up regularly (A). Suga pointed out that this actually goes against Jungkook’s personality as a “P” MBTI type.

Suga: You’re just regular with this one thing.

Jungkook: I’m totally B, but then I wouldn’t get anything clean, so I have to go with A.
