Each I-LAND Trainee’s MBTI Personality Type And What It Means

10 of the 16 personalities can be found among the contestants.

On June 26, 23 trainees will begin their journey on I-LAND, a new K-Pop survival show. To help fans get to know them better, the trainees took the MBTI (Myers–Briggs Type Indicator) test. In total, I-LAND has 10 of the 16 MBTI personality types, making this one of the most diverse groups of contestants yet!

1. ENFJ (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging)

Seon, Jaeho, Ni-Ki are all Protagonists, characterized by their warm, forthcoming personalities.

ENFJ types are goal-oriented, creative people who have strong values and ideas.

They also enjoy helping other people, which makes them assets in a team setting.

2. ISTJ – (Introverted, Observant, Thinking, and Judging)

SunghoonJake, and EJ are ISTJ, aka Logisticians.

This means that they are logical, reserved people with strong wills who take a methodical rather than impulsive approach to things.

3. ESFJ – (Extraverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging)

Hanbin, Sungchul, and Taeyong all share the Consul personality, meaning that they are social, people-oriented individuals who love to be part of a community.

These attentive personalities are always willing to use their wisdom to guide the people around them.

4. ESFP – (Extraverted, Observant, Feeling, and Prospecting)

Ta-Ki is the only Entertainer among the applicants. Some people like to observe, others like to experience things firsthand. According to his MBTI profile, Ta-Ki is the latter. Entertainers are highly social people who have a vibrant love for life, and they love to experience new things with friends and family.

5. ENFP – (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting)

ENFP is the most common personality type among the I-LAND trainees. K, Jimin, Kyungmin, Nicholas, Sunoo are all Campaigners, optimistic people who love big ideas and spreading goodwill wherever they go.

6. ENTP – (Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Prospecting)

Jay and Geonu are I-LAND‘s two Debaters.

These bold and creative personalities are highly persistent, plowing through all obstacles to achieve their goals. They use their mental agility to analyze, rework, and brainstorm ideas.

7. INFP – (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Prospecting)

As a Mediator, Jaebeom is one of the rarer personalities (4% of the population). According to his MBTI description, he is a quiet, caring, and creative person who is open to people and ideas.

8. INFJ – (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging)

Heeseung, Daniel, and Yoonwon all share this personality type.

INFJ is one of the rarest personality types, making up only 1% of the population, but it’s the second-most common personality type among the trainees (in a three-way tie with ENFJ and ISTJ).

Advocates are deeply thoughtful and imaginative people with vibrate inner lives. They tend to be quiet in comparison to make of the extroverted personality types.

9. ENTJ – (Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging)

Youngbin is the sole Commander type among the trainees. These decisive, strong-minded people thrive on accomplishment and action. Rather than ruminating on a plan, they quickly gather the necessary information and make their dreams into realities. In short, they are doers who take charge. The could make Youngbin a great leader, if he is chosen to debut in I-LAND‘s group.

10. ESTJ – (Extraverted, Observant, Thinking, and Judging)

Jungwon is Executive type, meaning that he follows his own judgement, provides stability for other people, and has a clear sense of direction that adversity can’t blind.
