The Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) is the organization behind the Gaon charts, which record the most popular songs and albums in Korea every week. Now, the KMCA has released its definitive list of the year’s highest-ranking digital songs based on downloads and streaming.

You may be surprised to learn that the top 10 list is actually filled primarily with soloists and indie acts. In fact, only one idol group managed to make it to the list at all: Red Velvet, with their 2019 smooth and haunting R&B release “Psycho”!
