Sunmi Reveals The 5 Beauty Secrets That Make Her Skin So Perfect

Even idols don’t have perfect skin without a little effort.

Sunmi recently came back with her new single, “Pporappippam”, but it’s not just her talent that’s blowing everyone away. Once again, fans have been struck by Sunmi’s seemingly perfect visuals—including her clear, dewy skin. Ever dreamed of having a complexion as perfect as hers? You’re in luck! Sunmi recently sat down with Vogue Korea to share the five secrets that keep her skin looking so perfect every day.

1. Sunmi’s Toner

Toner is undoubtedly one of the most important parts of any Korean skincare routine, removing skin impurities and tightening the pores. So, it’s no surprise that Sunmi has settled on a toner she loves. In fact, she says she’s already gone through five bottles of it.

Sunmi’s toner of choice is Dr. Jart Vital Hydra Solution Biome Toner, which she pats onto her skin after cleansing. This toner is infused with prebiotics, which encourage the growth and diversity of healthy facial bacteria.

2. Sunmi’s Ampuole

Like serums and essences, ampuoles contain one or more key ingredients that target specific problems, such as wrinkles or blemishes. Sunmi confessed she has naturally dry skin, so she uses an ampuole designed to boost moisture.

The Dermatory Pro Hyal Shot Moisture Ampoule is sold with solid cubes of pure hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid. Sunmi says she combines to two to create a “moisture bomb” that absorbs deep into her skin and keeps it hydrated.

3. Sunmi’s Moisturizer

K-Pop idols like Sunmi may be more prone to even more skin irritation than the rest of us thanks to their heavy stage makeup looks and higher stress levels.

To combat this, Sunmi uses the Dr. Jart Cicapair Cream. Alongside hydrating her skin, this cream is infused with centella asiatica to soothe and calm irritated skin.

4. Sunmi’s Pimple Lotion

Yes, even K-Pop idols get pimples sometimes! These days, drying lotions are a common way to address those unexpected breakouts and blemishes.

Sunmi uses the Mediheal A-Zero Shot Pink Dressing, which uses calamine, sulfur powder, salicylic acid, and tea tree oil to address problem pimples. She says she dabs it on as and when needed.

5. Sunmi’s Body Lotion

Most people focus on their faces when it comes to skincare, but it’s important not to forget the skin the rest of your body too.

If you want to follow this part of Sunmi’s skincare routine, it will cost you a pretty penny. The star is currently on her third bottle of Santa Maria Novella Idrasol Cream, which retails for over $100 USD. But the lotion’s warm floral fragrance is almost enough to make up for the cost.
