BTS’s Album Sales Since Debut Shows Just How Much They’ve Progressed Through The Years

They couldn’t even sell 1,000 albums back in 2013.

It’s been nearly 7 years since BTS first debuted into the world with their first album, and their album sales since then have proven just how hard they had to work to get to where they are now!

In 2013, BTS debuted with their first album, titled “2 COOL 4 SKOOL”. They were the first boy group to debut out of a small label, called BigHit Entertainment. They couldn’t even sell 1,000 copies of their album.

Fast forward to nearly 7 years later and BTS has already broken their previous record for the highest sales of any K-Pop album – and it’s only their pre-sales numbers!

“MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” has already reached over 3.4 million albums in sales. They broke their previous record that they had set with their last album, “MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA”.

Hanteo Chart released a full chart showcasing the number of sales each of their albums have sold during its release year. The incredibly low numbers and the drastic increase shows just how much BTS has grown and all of the blood, sweat, and tears that went into becoming who they are now.

With the year just beginning and “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” already breaking records, it appears 2020 will be another year of growth for BTS!
