BTS’s “Dynamite” Just Broke A Huge Milestone Record On YouTube

Congratulations, BTS!

“Dynamite” has been taking the world by storm for a while, topping all kinds of charts and breaking records left and right. Now, the song has given BTS yet another achievement they can feel proud of!

At around 9 AM KST on October 20, 2020, the music video officially reached the 500 million mark on YouTube, making it the fastest K-Pop MV to reach this impressive number!

Released on August 20 at 1 PM KST, this means that it took the music video about 59 days and 20 hours to reach the 500 million mark.

This also makes “Dynamite” BTS’s tenth music video to reach 500 million views! The others are “DNA”, “Fake Love”, “Fire”, “Blood Sweat & Tears”, “Save Me”, “Mic Drop”, “Dope”, “Boy With Luv”, and “Idol”.

Earlier this year, BLACKPINK had broken the record of fastest MV to reach 500 million views with “How You Like That”, which reached the milestone in 2 months and 12 days. This is still an incredibly short amount of time!

They had broken their record for “Kill This Love”, which reached 500 million views in 3 months and 19 days, which had beaten BTS’s previous record for “Boy With Luv” (ft. Halsey), which hit the milestone in 3 months and 29 days. Who will break the record next??
