Cast of tvN drama “Ex-Girlfriend Club” begins first script reading

The drama that will be succeeding current tvN drama Super Daddy Yeol has begin its first script reading process, the production company unveiling the photos of the meet.

Set to star Song Ji Hyo and Byun Yo Han as the leads, Ex-Girlfriend Club centers on a web cartoonist Bang Myung Soo as he reflects on his past ex-girlfriends, eventually incorporating them into his own cartoon strips, which are then picked up by a production company to turn into a film. Song Ji Hyo will play the role of the producer Kim Su Jin in charge of said film, but she herself can’t seem to stop thinking about her own ex-boyfriend.

Actresses who will be appearing and taking on the role of Bang Myung Soo’s ex-girlfriends include actresses Ryu Hwayoung as Ra Ra, Lee Yoon Ji as Jang Hwa Young, and Jang Ji Eun as Na Ji Ah. Other actors include Shin Dong Mi as Kim Soo Kyung, the older sister of Kim Su Jin, and Cho Jung Chi as Kim Soo Kyung’s husband Choi Ji Hoon.

The script reading took place at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul, where officials praised the chemistry between the two leads, a friendly and harmonious atmosphere overtaking the scene.

Ex-Girlfriend Club will be directed by Kwon Seok Jang PD (MBC‘s Pasta, Golden Time, Miss Korea) and written by Lee Jin Mae (I Am Sam, Call of the Country), and will air following the completion of Heart to Heart.

The upcoming drama is scheduled to air this May following the end of Super Daddy Yeol.
