The Chainsmokers Dish On Collabs With BLACKPINK, BTS, And MONSTA X

They see more K-Pop collaborations in their future.

The Chainsmokers recently discussed their past K-Pop collaborations and ones they hope to have in the future.

This American EDM duo has nothing but love for Korea’s artists and fans. On May 30, Alex Pall said (via Live Nation Korea), “Korean fans have a level of energy that we’ve never felt before, and Korea feels like a second home.”

On September 6, The Chainsmokers will be holding a concert in Seoul as part of their World War Joy tour. They first came to Korea in 2015 for the Global Gathering Korea 2015, and they held their first solo concert there two years later. BTS made a surprise appearance at that 2017 concert and their paths crossed again at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. They later went on to collab on the song “Best of Me”.

They are a very enthusiastic and talented group of friends, who know how to enjoy music and performances. I respect the success they have achieved, and I want to continue to support them.

The Chainsmokers also had an on-stage collaboration with MONSTA X at the 2018 Jingle Ball in Boston. They expressed their desire to work on music together with MONSTA X in the future, and they added BLACKPINK to their collab list too.

“We’d also like to work with BLACKPINK,” Alex Paul said. “We think they’re a very talented and energetic group.” What would a BLACKPINK x Chainsmokers collab sound like? He’s hoping for something with the same vibe as their song, “Don’t Let Me Down.”
