With CNBLUE‘s Kang Minhyuk being confirmed for Kakao M‘s new webseries, Not Yet Thirty (working title), our cast is now complete as drama representatives have confirmed that EXID‘s Hani and actor Song Jae Rim will be joining as the second leads.
The drama, Not Yet Thirty, is centered around women that have just turned 30, and how they balance their career and love lives. It will be about a webtoon artist, Seo Ji Won, who meets with her first love from her middle school days, Lee Seung Yoo, who becomes her publisher. In your 20s, you would feel that once you become 30, you are a full-fledged adult, but this drama aims to prove otherwise, as you can still make immature mistakes then.
Jung In Sun will play the female main character, Seo Ji Won, who has ended her series of flashy romances in her 20s, and now aims to focus wholly on her career. It is said that her character aims to portray modern women realistically. Kang Minhyuk on the other hand, plays the charming publisher, Lee Seung Yoo, that is popular with women.
Hani will be playing Seo Ji Won’s best friend, an announcer called Lee Ran Joo, who was once a popular media figure. As she turns 30, she begins to place less emphasis on her status as an announcer and tries to fill the void in her life with romance. She will be linked to a younger man and experience change in character.
Song Jae Rim places a producer for Seo Ji Won’s webtoon-turned-movie, Cha Do Hoon. He is said to be practical and separates work from private matters, but begins to open up to Seo Ji Won and they become drinking buddies.
Hani has previously shown her acting chops in webseries XX, while Song Jae Rim stoles hearts in I Wanna Hear Your Song and Clean With A Passion For Now. Not Yet Thirty will begin filming mid August and air via Kakao M’s new streaming platform.
