LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha Cried When She Watched BLACKPINK’s Live Concert—Here’s How Else They Influenced Her Life

She’s the cutest fangirl!

LE SSERAFIM‘s Kazuha owes her love for K-Pop to BLACKPINK! The YG Entertainment girl group has been active since 2016, churning out hits such as “WHISTLE,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “KILL THIS LOVE,” and “LOVESICK GIRLS.”

Though Kazuha is one of the hottest rising stars at the moment, she was also just a simple fan herself a few years ago. In an interview with Weverse Magazine, she had a sure answer when asked, “Were there any songs that you really liked listening to?”

She once chanced upon BLACKPINK’s debut song and she loved it right away.

I fell in love with K-Pop after I first listened to BLACKPINK’s music. I think I randomly saw the ‘BOOMBAYAH’ music video on YouTube. I can still remember how amazed I was when I first saw it. I was like, ‘What is this whole new world?’

Kazuha loved BLACKPINK so much that she watched them perform in person. She was one of the thousands of BLINKs in the crowd when they held their arena tour in 2018. In fact, Kazuha was so impressed by them, she shed a few tears that day!

I saw them perform live in concert when they came to Osaka. When I saw the performance with my own two eyes, it was so impressive and moving that I literally cried.

Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa inspired her to become a K-Pop idol with how “cool and pretty” they were. Their concert was unlike anything she saw before and it made her want to perform on stage as well.

I had seen many ballet performances up to that point, but it was cool in a totally different way from ballet. I think that was when I thought I wanted to be on stage, too. The members of BLACKPINK are cool and pretty at the same time and really charismatic, so I really had this kind of feeling that I wanted to be like that, too. Not the cute girl image, but like a cool woman.

Now, Kazuha is also the charismatic K-Pop idol she aspired to be!
