NCT Dream All Test Negative For Covid, Chenle Under Self-Quarantine — SM Entertainment Addresses The Impending Comeback

What does this mean for their comeback?

Fans began to question NCT Chenle‘s health when he was suddenly replaced by fellow NCT (WayV) member, Kun, on a recent radio show broadcast dated April 2, 2020. It was belatedly revealed that he had gone for immediate testing that day, after receiving word that a staff he had been in direct contact with tested positive for covid.

Thankfully, Chenle himself was revealed to have tested negative for the virus. However, his current status under self-quarantine brought about questions regarding NCT Dream‘s impending comeback. According to previous reports, NCT Dream was set to make a comeback in April.

On April 5, 2020, SM Entertainment reported to Star Today, “Chenle received a negative result for the covid test, however, as he was in direct contact with the staff that was a confirmed case, he will be under self-quarantine. Although the other NCT Dream members were not in contact with the confirmed case, we sent them for tests as a preventive measure and they all received negative results. NCT Dream is currently preparing their album, and we will advise on the release date after it is confirmed.

This will be NCT Dream’s first comeback in a year after their success with Ridin’. Stay tuned for further updates on the comeback and Chenle’s quarantine status!
