Saweetie & Doja Cat To Team Up With JAMIE & CHANMINA On “Best Friend” Remix

This is going to be fire! 🔥🔥

Warner Music has confirmed that Korean singer-songwriter JAMIE and Korean-Japanese pop rapper CHANMINA will both appear on a new remix of “Best Friend”.

American rap sensations Saweetie and Doja Cat released “Best Friend” to high acclaim back in January this year, reaching no.21 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Since the song’s release, the pair have teamed up with several international stars for “Best Friend” remixes, including British-Jamaican rapper Stefflon Don, Chinese rapper VaVa, and Australian artist OKENYO.

Now, two Korean stars are joining them for the track’s second remix: singer-songwriter Jamie (the 15& star previously known as Jimin Park) and CHANMINA, a popular Korean-Japanese rapper. Over the past few months, Jamie has been attracting attention with her Start-Up OST and appearances on Begin Again: Open Mic.

CHANMINA, meanwhile, featured on Girls’ Generation Taeyeon‘s Japanese single “#GirlsSpkOut” last year.

Judging by Jamie’s response to the news on Twitter, it definitely sounds like this track will be straight fire. “Best Friend (feat. Doja Cat, JAMIE, CHANMINA)” will release on April 2 at midnight Korean Standard Time.

This isn’t the first time Doja Cat has flagged up on K-Pop fans’ radars. Back in 2019, she reacted to TWICE‘s “Fancy” during a live broadcast, where she expressed a lot of love for Sana’s “chocolate ice cream” line.

If [Sana] is saying that she wants to f*cking take me for ice cream, she could take me for ice cream every day and I’ll f*cking eat ice cream every day and die from ice cream because this a great video.

She later asked fans to love her like they love Sana.

MAMAMOO fans, meanwhile, were obsessed with Solar‘s recent dance covers of Saweetie’s “Tap In” and Doja Cat’s “Say So”.
