ILUV members have been under scrutiny and criticism lately after former member, Shin Minah, better known as Cocoah on YouTube, took to her channel to redress her grievances. She previously revealed that the members bullied her to the point where she attempted suicide, and had also forced her to watch videos of them having sex with their boyfriends.

WKS ENE Entertainment which housed ILUV and is planning to re-debut the members in a new group called BOTOPASS, has responded with an official statement on the 16th of July 2020.

The company was firm in refuting all of Minah’s claims, retorting that they were falsified.

However, this is Minah spreading falsehoods and exaggeration, that caused damage in reputation to our existing artists as well as the members preparing for debut.

The company also claimed that Minah had been on break since January for health issues, and continued to request for the company to extend her rest period. However, as the company’s kindness was returned with such claims, they are unable to look at her in a positive light no longer.

However, she said she needs more time to recover, so she has been extending her break, and we have given her permission to do so. But since this has happened, we cannot look upon this positively.

The company also said that they had to step up in order to protect the current members who have been hurt by Minah’s claims.

However, the 6 members of ILUV are facing a large shock and are hurt due to this person that is claiming to be facing mental health issues while she is spreading one-sided claims herself.

On the other hand, Shin Minah is still facing insomnia and anxiety attacks as she has revealed on her personal Instagram. She has also requested a direct apology from her bullies.

The company’s full statement has been translated below.

This is WKS ENE Entertainment.

Our artist, Minah, has recently revealed that she has been facing both verbal and physical bullying from back when she was in ILUV by all 6 members. However, this is Minah spreading falsehoods and exaggeration, that caused damage in reputation to our existing artists as well as the members preparing for debut. Hence, we will be revealing our side of the story as well.

Minah has been on rest since January for health issues, and the company planned to give an opportunity to Minah who was resting, via a new project. However, she said she needs more time to recover, so she has been extending her break, and we have given her permission to do so. But since this has happened, we cannot look upon this positively.

We, WKS ENE Entertainment and the six former members of ILUV want to firmly say that whatever she has said is completely false and Minah refuses to meet with us for whatever reason that we do not know of. She has stated on her social media that she is facing insomnia and other mental health issues so we would have liked to be understanding about this and hoped for her recovery. However, the 6 members of ILUV are facing a large shock and are hurt due to this person that is claiming to be facing mental health issues while she is spreading one-sided claims herself. We cannot understand why this has to effect even the members that did not live in the dorms with them as people pinpoint them as perpetrators.

Despite this, these contents that have yet to be verified are becoming more widespread and it is damaging to our company’s artists’ image. In order to protect our artists, we will have no choice but to deal with this legally. We also wish to announce something else. We will be thankful if you can remove unverified content and guesswork, as well as refrain from malicious comments and misunderstandings.

Our statement comes late as we had to check on the contents that Minah had claimed, and for that we apologize. Thank you.
