EXID’s Brother Group TREI Apologizes For Disappointing Their Fans After Announcing Their Disbandment

All three members still hope to meet their fans again soon.

After only one year together, EXID‘s brother group TREI announced and apologized to their fans that they’re disbanding.

The three members released statements on their personal Instagram accounts on June 18, saying that they terminated their contracts with their company Banana Culture Entertainment.

Hello, this is Lee Jaejun. Though I have been with my company Banana Culture Entertainment for a long time, I have cancelled my contract with them. I am really sorry to everyone who has been waiting for good news [of a comeback]. I’ll be hard, but I’m going to try again. Thank you to everyone who has loved and supported TREI. Once again, I am very sorry.

Hello, this is Kim Juntae. Banana Culture Entertainment and I have amicably parted ways after a good time together. I have been so grateful to receive the abundance of love from TREI’s fans. I will work hard to show you a better look soon. I’m very sorry to those who waited for us.

Hello, I’m Chae Changhyun. After talks with Banana Culture Entertainment, I have decided to end my contract with them. I will be back soon with a better look and better music, so I ask for your support and interest in my new beginning. Thank you!

TREI debuted in February of 2019 and released only one mini-album, BORN ; Bon (本), and two digital singles, “Up” (with only Lee Jaejun and Chae Changhyun) and “Nike.” Expectations had been high for the group after the massive success of EXID. Still, after over one year together as a group, the members and the company mutually decided that disbandment and cancellation of contracts were in everyone’s best interest.

Thank you for gracing us with your music and smiles TREI, and we wish all three of you nothing but the best in your futures.
