TXT made their comeback with the album The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE, which is a repackaged version of their previous release, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze. With a new concept and title track, another thing new about this comeback is that Yeonjun tried his hand at writing the rap verse in a title track for the first time!

While Yeonjun has written lyrics before (such as the rap verse of the song “Fairy Of Shampoo), this is his first time writing for a title track, and he revealed that HYBE Labels founder and producer Bang Si Hyuk had suggested that he take control of the rap lyrics this time!

It held such a meaning for me since it is the first time I did for a title track.

Taking this opportunity to show his skills, Yeonjun wrote a well-fitting verse, and while talking about the lyrics, revealed he had been inspired by the scenes of the drama series The End of the Fxxxing World! Taking note of the love story of the show, that took place in a violent setting, he further shared how perfect the emotions from the scenes were for their title track!

The emotions I felt from this scene was that ‘I could hit rock bottom with you,’ which is my favorite lyrics because it vividly illustrates a loser.
