Yook Ji Dam Demands An Apology From Wanna One, Their Fans and Their Agency or Face Lawsuits

Yook Ji Dam broke her silence after a month since she revealed her past relationship with Kang Daniel. Now she wants a formal apology from everyone.

Yook Ji Dam wrote a public post, demanding Kang Daniel, Wanna OneCJ and YMC Entertainment apologize to her for the public scandal she faced regarding her supposed past relationship with Kang Daniel.

A month ago, Yook Ji Dam went on an  Instagram spree where she claimed that a Wanna One fanfiction story was actually about Kang Daniel and her. She claimed that the story was written by a stalker who knew intimate details about their love life.

YMC later released official statements denying the two ever dated but didn’t directly contact Yook Ji Dam, even after her repeated requests. She is now demanding an apology for being treated like a “crazy fan”.

“I was frightened about everything that was happening, and all I wanted to do was survive. But during that time, YMC and CJ never contacted me once.

It seems like the people in charge were trying to hide Wanna One against what happened between Kang Daniel and me, and in a blink of an eye, I was receiving malicious comments. I couldn’t find one comment that was comforting me.”

She said she would hold a press conference in a few days if the agencies and the group didn’t apologize to her. She’s also preparing to file lawsuits against those sending malicious comments and YMC for their previous statements.

She revealed an email address and asked people to send her records of the malicious comments made against her.

While YMC denied all rumors when the controversy began and said it would take legal action against anyone spreading false information, fellow Unpretty Rapstar contestant Kasper and Yook Ji Dam’s father supported Yook Ji Dam’s claims by saying she was truly in a relationship with Kang Daniel.

“First, I’m sorry for causing a national controversy solely because I’m a celebrity.

All the foreigners, Koreans, and Asians who tried to take me to the airport, while I was in L.A. last February… As well as the cars and people who kept following me while I was walking the streets alone… I want to start an investigation against all of you. I want to check every CCTV. February 14th, the day Gaon Charts held their award ceremony. That’s the date.

In the end, my own sister had to fly out to the U.S. to come get me, while YMC and CJ kept ignoring my calls. Even before I uploaded stuff to Instagram, I contacted Jessi, Ailee, Jenny House, YMC’s CEO, and CJ’s Mr. Hong who worked at my previous label.

I was frightened about everything that was happening, and all I wanted to do was survive. But during that time, YMC and CJ never contacted me once. It seems like the people in charge were trying to hide Wanna One against what happened between Kang Daniel and me, and in a blink of an eye, I was receiving malicious comments. I couldn’t find one comment that was comforting me.

Ever since I returned to Korea on February 16th, I lived hidden in a hospital because I was scared. I want a proper apology and explanation from CJ, YMC Entertainment. I also want a sincere apology from the artists. If you don’t apologize, I will hold a press conference in a few days.

I will also sue every person who has spread malicious comments and rumors about me over the past month. My email is jucyuk@naver.com. Please send me the record of malicious comments in PDF formats, thank you.”
