Stray Kids’ Changbin And Seungmin Never Talked As Trainees But Here’s How They Developed Their Incredible Friendship

“Two totally different people just fit together like gear wheels.”

In the second episode of their new series, “2 Kids Room,” Stray Kids members Changbin and Seungmin sat down in front of a camera to have an equal part teasing and heartfelt conversation.

Although the two joked around about everything from Changbin’s SKZOO mascot Dwaekki (a half-bunny half-pig creature) to Seungmin working out, it is easy for fans to see how supportive the two actually are of each other.

Changbin even mentions that while Seungmin teases him, and it can absolutely be annoying, Seungmin knows where the line is and never crosses it.

Which, albeit, he does admit, can be annoying too because then he never gets the relief of having an outburst.

And Changbin also calls Seungmin the most mature of Stray Kids’ 2000 liners (which includes Hyunjin, Han, Felix, and Seungmin).

Changbin confesses that when he is overthinking and needs advice, Seungmin is the one he turns to because Seungmin can give him “a simple straightforward answer.”

And that although it’s a simple answer, it usually “ends up being the solution to [his] problems.”

But even though Changbin relies on Seungmin, Seungmin admits that Changbin is always a reliable older brother to him. Someone he can depend on.

But while their close bond seems incredibly natural, the other members, who are watching the two talk through a screen, confess that it wasn’t always that way between them.

Leader Bang Chan brings the conversation up first, asking if anyone remembers what the two were like as trainees.

And Hyunjin doesn’t hesitate to answer that “they had no relationship at all.”

Han even adds that he doesn’t “think [he’s] ever seen them together as trainees.”

But Lee Know, who says that Changbin and Seungmin clearly got close after debut, had a suspicion as to what bonded them.

Lee Know believes that because Seungmin was so interested in vocal practice and recording, he would have asked for Changbin’s direction a lot.

And that throughout working to achieve their dream together, they ended up creating this close bond.

And as if to prove Lee Know’s point, the episode then cuts to Changbin complimenting Seungmin about his vocal improvements.

So although they may not have had the closest bond as trainees, the two friends are now clearly able to depend on each other for everything from teasing to deep thoughts.
